Tom comes from a background of hunting and farming. Growing up in Idaho Tom can recall chilly early mornings wading through marshes along the Snake River. Too young to hunt, too short to wade the deeper waters but his love for waterfowl had started. Thirty five years later Tom and his wife, Emily combined their love for conservation, habitat management and hunting to create a mecca for game. One trip through Mallard Bend and you will see extensive management for deer, doves, quail, turkeys and our main event, waterfowl.

Jimmy Mitchell's love for duck hunting runs deep, rooted in a family tradition that dates back to the early 1900's. Introduced to the sport by his father, who gathered live decoys for the hunt, when it was legal. Jimmy has cultivated a passion, if not an obsession for duck hunting. With over 40 years of experience, he has become a respected figure in the hunting community. Jimmy's past experience also includes managing a large duck hunting club in Western Oklahoma. Jimmy combines his expertise with a dedication to enhancing the environment and habitat for hunting. His years of guiding clients have equipped him with the skills to ensure every hunter has a fun and successful experience. Whether crafting the perfect hunting strategy or sharing tales of the hunt, Jimmy is committed to keeping the legacy of duck hunting alive and thriving!

 My name is Matt Pennell and this is my amazing wife Carrie and our outdoorsy daughter, Autumn.  Cooking has always been a huge passion in both of our lives growing up. If we aren’t catering for events during our busy bbq season, you can find us tending to our produce and fresh herb gardens. Freshness, consistency and precision means a great deal to both of us. While I am smoking a juicy tender prime rib or brisket, Carrie has the whole kitchen smelling amazing with fresh breads, desserts and her famous mouth watering cinnamon rolls which makes us a power couple in the culinary world. We are so thankful to be able to travel across the US and Canada preparing the best meals as a family for the clients and all the staff we now consider family as well. We can’t wait to see you this fall!!

Life long outdoors man and avid whitetail hunter. Mallard Bend is proud to have Dale on our team and managing our big game population. In our off season Dale is often leading the charge with many of our hog hunts as well.

As an avid big game and waterfowl hunter, Dakota has been in the woods, marshes and hills from the age of 10. From the pursuit of Wisconsin Mallards to Oklahoma spins of Lessers, Dakota has proven himself to be a valuable team member. When the decoys are up and birds have moved north, Mallard Bend is proud to say Dakota has the hog hunting wheel! 

Jason is an avid waterfowl hunter whose passion for hunting was ignited at a young age by his father. Growing up, he spent countless hours in the marshes and wetlands, developing a deep love for duck hunting. Over the years, his enthusiasm expanded to include goose hunting, adding another layer of excitement to his outdoor adventures. 

 With over 35 years of duck and goose hunting experience, Jason honed his skills and shared his experience with fellow enthusiasts at a prominent duck hunting ranch where he served as a guide. His dedication to the sport is evident in his commitment to not only hunting but also educating others about the importance of conservation and responsible practices in the field.

Jason continues to seek new adventures and connections within the hunting community, always eager to share his passion for the great outdoors! 

Kona (Shotts Wingmaster Roux's Kona) is UKC registered and comes from a highly awarded pedigree and shows it. She has no real switch except GO GO GO! Although, if you give her a pet in the blind she will bury her head into your lap and take the loves. We love watching her work and the drive and excitement she brings to every hunt. Kona will greet everyone and settle into position. I'd like to say she's in the blind before everyone else and last to leave the field...the perfect employee. 

Diesel (Big Mamou's Duke of Diesel) also comes from an incredible Pedigree. Diesel has amazing drive, speed and steadiness. His ability to turn it on and off is mind boggling. Watching his excitement as birds work above is what it's all about. Hunting is at his core and we are blessed to have the ability to share it with our clients.
